Pick and Place Capping MachinePick and Place Capping Machine or automatic bottle capper unique machine specially designed for special purpose containers. Machine having arrangement to pick caps one by one with custom designed mechanism and place onto bottles. Unlike standard capping machine there is no chute and bowl in the machine instead of that special designed mechanism which is made as per each individual cap type design. Cap Feeder Bowl provided for automatic feeding of the caps onto capping head assembly. Bottle capping tool performs capping operations in pick and place type design.

Working Principle
of Bottle Sealing Machine

The filled bottles moving on conveyor belt and fed into an in feed star wheel by in-feed worm. While moving in feed star wheel, bottles pick up caps one by one from delivery chute. The descending rotary sealing heads hold bottle’s neck with desired pressure. The sealing is done in a programmed roll-on manner, accurate positioned of the caps is done mechanically by means of a rotating unscramble, to direct the caps correctly into the chute, when the chute is filled up the rotating unscramble drive is disengaged, hence, there is no chance to damage of caps. The sealing roller takes place due to rotating sealing head and transfer movement of sealing & threading rollers due to sealing cam. The sealed bottles are discharged by exist star wheel on conveyors.

FAQ of Pick and Place Capping Machine

Unlike conventional cappers that use chutes and bowls, this machine employs a custom pick-and-place mechanism tailored to each cap type. It includes a Cap Feeder Bowl for automatic feeding directly to the capping head assembly, making it ideal for non-standard containers.

The machine is available in three models:

  • ACSR-60 (Single Head): Up to 50 containers/minute
  • ACSR-120 (Four Heads): Up to 100 containers/minute
  • ACSR-200 (Eight Heads): Up to 200 containers/minute

It accommodates containers with diameters of 24mm to 90mm and heights of 50mm to 250mm. Compatible cap diameters are 20mm, 25mm, and 28mm (using change parts).

Key safety features include “No Bottle – No Cap” system, “Container Overturn – Machine Stop” mechanism, a safety clutch on the Star Wheel to prevent jamming/overloading, and additional clutch systems to avoid bottle breakage.

Changeover is quick and simple — it can be done using a Single Ratchet mechanism, allowing fast adjustments from one container size to another without extensive downtime.

The machine features a compact GMP model with Stainless Steel construction. All parts in contact with containers, caps, or exposed to the atmosphere are made of stainless steel for durability and hygiene.

Filled bottles move on a conveyor into an infeed star wheel. Caps are picked and placed via the custom mechanism. Descending rotary sealing heads apply pressure for a programmed roll-on seal. Sealed bottles are then discharged via the exit star wheel.

Options include PLC with HMI, variable speed Cap Feeder, inbuilt Laminar Air Flow for sterile operations, IQ/OQ documentation, safety cabinet, sampling & rejection system, and digital production counter.

It is primarily designed for pharmaceutical, cosmetic, food, and other industries requiring precise capping of special-purpose containers. It integrates well into Adinath’s range of liquid filling and packaging lines for GMP-compliant production.
